About Me

Alice Mostoff
Alice Mostoff's color filled images are vigorous, energetic, and gestural landscapes and abstractions. These explosive works convey a sense of rhythm and spontaneity. Her paintings, monotypes and collages are found in private and corporate collections throughout the world, as well as the National Museum of American History, Washington D.C. and the Arts and Embassies Program. The William and Mary Review has published her work. She has recently received awards for her landscape paintings at the Elliott Museum in Stuart, Florida.

Mostoff has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hunter College in New York City, has done graduate work at Brooklyn College and has studied at the Brooklyn Museum, the Art League in Alexandria, Virginia, and Northern Virginia Community College. She maintains a studio at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA.
